You’ve heard the adage ‘You know when you know’  —  and somehow, we just knew.

Our year-long engagement comes to an end on June 11, 2011 when we will exchange vows in a beautiful chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.  Why California, you ask?  Not only are we self-proclaimed water babies, we stumbled upon this church during a weekend road trip and couldn’t get it out of our thoughts. After a second visit, it just made sense.

So we booked our chapel and everything else fell into place.

We were surprised to discover that the cost of a reception hall for four hours was the same as renting a beautiful beach house in the sand for three days.  Being the smart couple we are, we decided to forego the typical wedding reception and instead think of it as our wedding beach party celebration with our closest friends and family members.  While it will be a casual atmosphere where your toes are sure to find the sand, you won’t miss the seven-footer in the suit and his bride in the white dress…
